Boy Caught On Tape Drive-By Hugging A Dog And Woman Turns To Facebook To Help Identify Him

When Hollie Breaux Mallet of Louisiana set up her home security system she certainly didn't expect to see something as adorable as this: a little boy running into her garage just to hug her black Lab, Duchess, as he biked past. Holly and her husband thought the gesture was so sweet, but she had no idea which neighbors' kid it was...so she posted the video on Facebook and asked for help identifying the young dog lover.

When Hollie Breaux Mallet of Louisiana set up her home security system, she certainly didn’t expect to see something as adorable as this: a little boy running into her garage just to hug her black Lab, Dutchess, as he biked past.

Holly and her husband thought the gesture was so sweet, but had no idea which neighbors’ kid it was, so she posted the video on Facebook and asked for help identifying the young dog lover.

Not long after her initial post, a friend of Hollie’s recognized the boy, and his mother Ginger Clement Breaux, was quickly friended by Hollie, confirming it was her son, Josh.

Sadly, the boy had lost his beloved family dog, a dachshund named Bella, a year earlier and little Josh was devastated by it because he clearly loves dogs so much.

Then, Ginger decided to show the camera footage to Josh to see how he reacted:

Despite his initial embarrassment for having his dog-hugging hobby outed on the internet, he has now gotten permission from both his mother and Hollie to come visit Dutchess whenever he wants — and Hollie says he’s come by almost every day since. He’s been taking selfies of their visits and sending them to his mum, which she has been posting on the video’s comments section.

Don’t they make the cutest pair of friends??

Hollie, Dutchess, Josh, and Ginger all pose together for a heartwarming shot.
